Mother’s Day is quickly approaching and there’s still time to get the mother in your life a very special and meaningful gift. Follow my gift giving guide and get inspired! If you have good ideas of your own, please share them with everyone in the comments section.
If your mom loves beautiful, handmade jewelry, then consider making her smile this Mother’s Day with a stunning sparkler from Laura Roberts, based in Dallas. I have purchased several pieces from Laura both as gifts and for me 🙂 and I have been so pleased with every purchase. Hop on over to her website to check out her full list of products, but in the meantime, here a few of my favorite pieces:
Skinny Cocktail Bangles, $25 ea or 3 for $22 ea Perfect gift for mixing and matching.
Pearl Cluster Wrapped Gemstone Earrings, $110 (Featured: Chryophase, 14K gold filled wire and freshwater pearls wrapped around vermeil bezeled gemstone. 14K gold filled ear wires)
2. Caddy Bay Collection Glossy Rosewood Finish 10-Watch Display Storage Case, $96.99 on Overstock.com
For the mom who loves her time-pieces! This display case is classy and perfect for the woman with discerning taste in watches. I received a very similar case for Christmas and it has been such a wonderful gift that I actually use on a daily basis. It cuts down on clutter and protects your watches from getting scratched or worn.

You’ve seen my posts about Stitch Fix before, so you can’t be surprised that I’m suggesting a gift certificate for mom! Stitch Fix is an on-line company who pretty much provides each client with their own personal stylist. You sign up and submit detailed notes about your style preferences, measurements, ideal price points, sizes, special requests, etc. and then they send you a box with 5 pieces based on your profile. You have 3 days to try on the clothes and decide if you want to keep or return. Each fix has a $20 styling fee and shipping is free both ways (yay!) If you buy any of the items, the $20 is applied to your purchase. If you love all of your items, you can purchase all five and also receive 25% off the entire order. Some veteran Stitch Fixers have said that even if you don’t like all of your picks, sometimes it ends up being cheaper to just buy all 5 pieces!
It’s important to know that they currently have inventory for women’s sizes 0-14. They’re a fairly new company and are hoping to offer more inventory at plus sizes/maternity in the future. You can send them your measurements and they will contact you if they don’t have enough inventory in your size.
If mom is looking for some new clothes or brands, help her out with a gift certificate to Stitch Fix! They have clothes appropriate for all different age groups and personalities, and there’s sure to be something there to please every mom.
If your mom loves sterling silver or gold charms on necklaces or bracelets, listen up! James Avery is having an amazing promotion right now (through May 12 while supplies last) and it’s just too good to pass up. If you buy 2 charms, you get a free forged link charm bracelet or you can take $49 off of any other charm bracelet. I personally love their charms and am a big fan of the new color enamel charms they are offering.
If you’re not familiar with James Avery, they literally have a charm for everyone. From classic to whimsical, you will find a charm that represents your mom’s favorite hobby, birth month, milestone, or scripture.
